Whirlwind Vs Chain Lightning!
Sorry for having 3 threads in this section but they're all related to different things so I wasn't sure what to do.
Anyway, I have a question:
Which is generally more useful for an air elementalist in PvP - Whirlwind or Chain Lightning? Chain Lightning does more damage & can hit multiple targets but Whirlwind could be used for if there is a dervish, assassin or warrior attacking you as it causes AOE damage to all adjacent foes.
E.g. If you HAD to pick one which would you pick?
Thanks.

Neither.
They're both pretty bad.
There's better alternative skills... what campaigns do you own?

If I had to choose between those two skills I would spec into a different attribute, or worst comes to worst roll a different profession.

Shame.
NF has some of the best skills. I'd highly recommend it.

Enervating Charge over Chain Lightning, adds another condition to the mix.
Or Ward vs Melee, or Draw Conditions, Convert Hexes... any kinda utility skill is better than Whirlwind/Chain.
Lightning Strike is also kinda lame and can be dropped for more utility, especially when you're casting Flash/Orb/Hammer near enough back-to-back.
Also, I'd consider AoR or some cover enchant, dual attunes are horendously fragile.

cookie cutter dual attuned guy for RA. Run a 40/40 set for extra spammage.
